With over a decade of law enforcement experience, he specializes in trauma-informed practices, including education seminars, interviewing strategies, and resource development.

James Tolar started his Law Enforcement career in 2011 and currently holds a Master Peace Officer License. In 2023, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston. He has served as a K-9 Handler, Patrol Corporal, S.W.A.T. team member, S.W.A.T. team leader and in 2020 was promoted to Investigations Sergeant within the Criminal Investigations Division of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. He also serves as part of the Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and has a true passion for ending the exploitation of children.

Andy obtained his Master's of Criminal Justice degree in 2014 and has worked in law enforcement for over 19 years in a variety of capacities. Most of those roles were as an investigator involving sex crimes. The last five years he has worked to support local, state, and federal law enforcement efforts as a digital forensic examiner. Andy
